Iran records increase in load/unload operations in Amirabad port

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) increased by 27 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2021), compared to the 5th month (June 23 through August 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 267,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 82,500 tons were loaded and about 185,000 tons were unloaded.

In addition, about 74,800 tons of cargo were exported and 181,000 tons were imported through the Amirabad port in the sixth month.

Within the 6th month, 7,640 tons of cargo were loaded and 3,790 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.

According to the statistics, 272 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for other purposes during the sixth month.

"So, 174,000 tons of essential products, 7,110 tons of metal products, 72,900 tons of construction and mining materials, 1,070 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port in the 6th month of the current Iranian year," the statistics said.

Moreover, 2,040 tons of chemicals, 1,820 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 356 tons of container products, 8,380 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port over the mentioned month.

As reported, about 11.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the sixth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.98 million tons were loaded and 5.35 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 2 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
