Volume of loaded/unloaded cargo in Iran’s Fereidoonkenar port down

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by 10 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2021), compared to the 5th month (July 23 through August 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 18,100 tons of cargo were unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port during the reporting month.

Within the 6th month, 14,900 tons of cargo were imported through this port. Meanwhile 3,180 tons of cargo were unloaded for transit.

“So, 12,800 tons of essential products, 5,270 tons of crude oil and oil products were unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port in the six month of the current Iranian year,” the statistics said.

As reported, about 11.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the sixth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.98 million tons were loaded and 5.35 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 2 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.

The Iran's Fereidoonkenar port is located on 69 hectares of land. The port has 2 platforms and 700,000 tons of cargo can be loaded and unloaded in the port per year.
