Iran’s PMO declares volume of essential products available in ports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct. 27

In total, there were 3.74 million tons of essential products available in Iranian ports until October 27, 2021, Deputy Chairman of the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) Farhad Montaser Koohsari said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

According to the chairman, wheat, barley, corn, soybeans, rice, sugar, crude oil, and oilseeds are essential products available in Iranian ports.

“So, 291,000 tons of essential products were available in Amirabad port, 138,000 tons in Noshahr port, 42,700 tons in Anzali port, 2.78 million tons in Imam Khomeini port, 330,000 tons in Shahid Rajaee Port, 80,300 tons in Chabahar port, 22,000 tons in Astara port, 59,300 tons in Fereidoonkenar port, 70 tons in Bandar Lengeh port, 316 tons in Shahid Bahonar port and 83 tons in Khorramshahr port,” he added.

Koohsari noted that 20 ships with about 605,000 tons of cargo are off the platform, while 36 ships with 2.3 million tons of cargo are waiting in line.

The chairman said that about 3,700 trucks loaded with 85,300 tons of essential products left the ports of Amirabad, Noshahr, Anzali, Imam Khomeini, Shahid Rajaee, and Chabahar yesterday and transported the products to various cities.

Koohsari also stressed that 5,660 tons of essential products in 103 wagons left the Imam Khomeini port yesterday.
