The number of passenger planes received by Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran, increased by 28 percent, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iran Airports and Air Navigation company (IAC).
According to the statistics, a total of 58,500 planes were received at the airport in 6 months. The figure stood at 45,800 in the same period last Iranian year.
“In general, 4.6 million passengers were transported through the Mehrabad International Airport in six months, which increased by 2 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 4.52 million passengers were transported via this airport in the same period last Iranian year,” the statistics said.
In addition, 35,300 tons of cargo was transported through Mehrabad International Airport during the reporting period. This is an increase of 14 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 30,900 tons of cargo was transported through this airport in the same period last Iranian year.
