Activity in Iran’s Qeshm port booming

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 17.3 percent in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2021), compared to the 6th month (August 23 through September 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 552,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 270,000 tons were loaded and 282,000 tons were unloaded.

At the same time, 427 tons of cargo were exported and 1,940 tons were imported through the Qeshm port in the seventh month.

Over the 7th month, 269,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 280,000 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.

Furthermore, 494 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port for transshipment, as well as 79 tons were loaded for other purposes.

According to the statistics, 1,370 tons of essential products, 537,000 tons of small and assorted products, 916 tons of container products and 13,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port within the seventh month of the current Iranian year.

As reported, about 12 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the seventh month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.6 million tons were loaded and 6.36 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 12.5 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
