Iran's Abadan International Airport opens flights to Kuwait

TEHRAN, Iran, Dec. 27

The director-general of Iran's Abadan International Airport Masoud Khast-Khodaie announced that the Iran Air flights are projected to be carried from Abadan International Airports to Kuwait International Airport and vice versa, Trend reports citing ILNA.

Flights depart from Abadan each Tuesday. The return flight is carried out on the same day from Kuwait.

Khast-Khodaie added that the international flights from and to the Abadan International Airport have been suspended for the last 4 years, but the situation is improving.

The official noted the airport is looking to establish flights to Dubai, Istanbul, and cities.

Referring to the cargo flights, he said the volume of cargo transported through the Abadan International Airport in the Khuzestan Province (south-western Iran) reached 20 to 30 tons of aquatic products per flight to Kuwait.
