The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) increased by 52.7 percent in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 22, 2021, through January 20, 2022), compared to the 9th month (November 22 through December 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, about 16,700 tons of cargo were unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port during the reporting month.
Over the 10th month, 12,100 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for import, as well as 4,600 tons were unloaded for transit.
So, 9,680 tons of essential products and 7,020 tons of oil products were unloaded through the port in the 10th month of the current Iranian year.
About 17.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 10th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 11.9 million tons were loaded and 6.03 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 42 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
The Iran's Fereidoonkenar port is located on 69 hectares of land. The port has 2 platforms and 700,000 tons of cargo can be loaded and unloaded in the port per year.
