The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 20.6 percent in the 11th month of the current Iranian year (January 21 through February 19, 2022), compared to the 10th month (December 22, 2021 through January 20, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 751,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 346,000 tons were loaded and 405,000 tons were unloaded.

At the same time, 30 tons of cargo were exported and 5,990 tons were imported through the Qeshm port in the 11th month.

Over the 11th month, 346,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 398,000 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.

Furthermore, 169 tons of cargo were loaded in this port for other purposes.

According to the statistics, 30 tons of essential products, 31 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, 19 tons of chemicals, 697,000 tons of small and assorted goods, 1,000 tons of container products, and 53,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port within the 11th month of the current Iranian year.

About 12.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 11th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.11 million tons were loaded and 6.49 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 14.3 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
