BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. "Railways of Kazakhstan" JSC (KTZ) takes measures to switch to an integrated electronic technology for the transportation of goods, Director of the Technical Policy Department, Chief Engineer of KTZ Batyr Kotyrev told Trend.

"Draft plan (roadmap) for the development of trade and economic cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and its member states with China contains the direction "Formation, development and digitalization of transport corridors and routes"," he noted.

Various activities are being carried out in this context, including the transition to a legally significant electronic document management when processing international transportation in terms of transportation and shipping documents.

The main focus of this document is the transition to an integrated electronic technology for the carriage of goods by rail, the exchange of legally significant electronic transportation and shipping documents, with full integration with government agencies, consigners, consignees of the EAEU member states and China.

Work is underway with neighboring railway administrations to speed up the process of transitioning the registration of railway transportation using electronic technology, Kotyrev added.
