TEHRAN, Iran, April 18. Iran is launching a passenger shipping line from Bushehr Port to Qatar, said the Director-General of Ports and Maritime Organization Hossein Abbasnejad, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"The following shipping line can transport 3,000 passengers and vehicles," he said.
He pointed out that Iran's southern ports can transport passengers to Qatar, especially during the FIFA World Cup.
Iran has resumed passenger transportation from Khoramshahr Port to Kuwait while the Ports and Maritime Organization is also launching shipping lines from Chabahar and Qeshm to Oman ports.
Iran's policy is to promote maritime tourism between its ports and the Persian Gulf countries.
