Iran's cargo transit via Bazargan border increases

TEHRAN, Iran, April 26. Over 21,000 trucks have transited goods via Iran's Bazargan border since the start of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022), said the Manager of Bazargan Border Terminal Jaber Akbarzadeh, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"Total of 21,303 trucks have transited goods via the Bazargan border indicating a four percent increase compared to 2021," he said.

According to the official, trucks have transited goods from Bazargan to Bashmaq, Khosravi, and Astara borders.

He pointed out that trucks have mostly transported export goods such as agricultural and petrochemical products, steel, and stone to Asian and European countries. Iran imported industrial machinery, paint, fabrics, and spare parts via the Bazargan border.
