BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. More than 563,000 tons of cargo were transported from Iran’s Ardabil Province, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2022), an official of the Roads and Transport Department of Ardabil Province Vahid Mirmohammadi said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.

The official stressed that cement, potatoes, diesel, gasoline, mineral water, wheat, iron ingots, watermelons and others were main transported goods from the province for the reporting period.

Mirmohammadi added that most cargo was transported from Ardabil, Parsabad, Namin and Bilasuvar counties of the Ardabil Province within two months.

“As many as 90 companies are engaged in cargo transportation in the Ardabil Province. There are 13,550 trucks and about 12,000 drivers operating in the province in this field,” he said.
