TEHRAN, Iran, July 4. Iran's private sector is ready to transit Ukrainian products through the Persian Gulf route, said the head of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Gholamhossein Shafei, Trend reports citing ILNA.
The Iranian official discussed the increase in economic cooperation and increase in trade with Ukraine's Ambassador to Iran Sergey Burdylyak.
"Considering that Ukraine is one of the major suppliers of livestock and agricultural inputs and currently facing serious problems for the export of such products, we are ready to transit these products across Iran and through the Persian Gulf," he said.
The head of ICCIMA has also underlined the drought across Iran and the interest in overseas farming in Ukraine.
Burdylyak for his part stressed the need for finding ways to develop economic ties between Iran and Ukraine, and the cooperation of Iranian companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine's refineries and industrial centers.
