BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 14. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by 57.7 percent, in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 121,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 50,500 tons were loaded and about 70,500 tons were unloaded.

In addition, about 47,200 tons of cargo were exported and 68,900 tons were imported through the Amirabad port in the 3rd month.

Within the 3rd month, 3,250 tons of cargo were loaded and 1,460 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.

According to the statistics, 69 tons of cargo were loaded and 75 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes during the 3rd month.

"About, 61,000 tons of essential products, 3,000 tons of metal products, 46,900 tons of construction and mining materials, 1,570 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year," the statistics said.

Moreover, 1,340 tons of chemicals, 102 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 144 tons of container products, 6,920 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port over the mentioned month.

In general, about 12.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.8 million tons were loaded and 6.8 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6.4 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
