BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 14. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 6.5 percent, in the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 311,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, about 134,000 tons were loaded and 177,000 tons were unloaded.

During the 4th month, about 127,000 tons of cargo were exported and about 72,800 tons were imported through the Bushehr port.

In addition, 2,620 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for transit, as well as 509 tons of cargo were loaded and 104,000 tons were unloaded for cabotage in the 4th month.

Also, 3,810 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for other purposes.

According to the statistics, 7,750 tons of essential products, 44 tons of metal products, over 85,000 tons of construction and mining materials, and 3,070 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port in the 4th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 10 tons of chemicals, 3,130 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, about 63,800 tons of container products, and about 148,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.

In general, about 12.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 4th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.14 million tons were loaded and 6.19 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 6.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
