BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 16. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) decreased by 28.6 percent, in the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, 99,800 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 4th month. Of this figure, 39,800 tons were loaded and 60,000 tons were unloaded.

In addition, 31,500 tons of cargo were exported and 54,900 tons were imported through the Anzali port over the reporting month.

Also, 8,070 tons of cargo were loaded and 4,930 tons were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as 125 tons of cargo were unloaded for other purposes in the 4th month.

According to the statistics, 33,300 tons of essential products, 10,700 tons of metal products, 11,000 tons of construction and mining materials, 1,040 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 4th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 6,770 tons of chemicals, 24,600 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 6 tons of small and assorted goods, 11,900 tons of container products, and 285 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

In general, about 12.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 4th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.14 million tons were loaded and 6.19 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 6.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
