BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 16. Uzbekistan positively assesses the level of development in transport cooperation with Azerbaijan, Trend reports via the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.
"Transport cooperation with Azerbaijan is evaluated very positively, we actively use the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway route and the Alat Sea port of Baku," the ministry said.
Furthermore, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan signed an intergovernmental agreement on international road transport in June 2022, thanks to which the practice of organizing international cargo transportation based on permission slips will be introduced, and a joint commission on international transportation will be established.
"Also the system of permission slips will contribute to the formation of more accurate statistics on the transportation of goods for the preparation of an appropriate analysis for the development of transport corridors," the ministry explained.
