BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 22. A total of 62,543 passenger cars were manufactured in Kazakhstan from January through August 2022, which is 31.5 percent more than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
In turn, passenger car production in August alone amounted to 8,439 cars, which also is 23.4 percent more than in August 2021.
The number of cargo vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan during the reporting period stood at 4,811 vehicles (421 in August), specialized vehicles – 182 (19 in August).
Furthermore, the number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured in August 2022 amounted to 78, which is 3.7 percent less than in August 2021. The number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured over the reporting period stood at 396 vehicles, which is 16.9 percent more than during the same period of last year.
In turn, spare parts for vehicle output amounted to 133,688 during eight months of 2022 and 1,458 in August 2022, which is 2.1 times more and 83.9 percent less respectively than during the same period of 2021.
A total of 24 diesel locomotives were also manufactured in Kazakhstan over eight months of 2022.
