BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. The volume of cargo unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by 75 percent in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 23 through August 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
A total of 4,990 tons of cargo were unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port for import in the 5th month.
So, 4,990 tons of essential products were unloaded at the port for the reporting month.
In general, about 12.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 5th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, about 6.4 million tons were loaded and about 6.1 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
Iran's Fereidoonkenar port is located on 69 hectares of land. The port has 2 platforms and 700,000 tons of cargo can be loaded and unloaded in the port per year.
