TEHRAN, Iran, October 6. Third Russian freight train carrying potash fertilizers has crossed through Iran and arrived in Bandar Abbas Port in the country's Hormozgan Province, said CEO of Hormozgan Railway Hamid Ghogochani, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Previously two freight trains departed from Sulin Kamaz train station in Russia, arrived in Bandar Abbas to transit potash fertilizer to India.
"A total of one million tons of potash fertilizers have been loaded in Russia to be transited through Iran to India, from the Bandar Abbas Port," he said.
He pointed out that loading cargo on ships will be done in the fastest time possible, thanks to cooperation of customs and Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran in Hormozgan Province.
"Transit revenues for cargo transit via Iran’s railway network is four times more than regular domestic transportation fee," he said adding that the revenue will be in foreign currency.
