BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) increased by 15 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 170,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 6th month. Of this figure, about 47,300 tons were loaded and about 123,000 tons were unloaded.

In addition, about 35,800 tons of cargo were exported and about 116,000 tons were imported through the Anzali port over the reporting month.

Also, 11,600 tons of cargo were loaded and 6,350 tons were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as 312 tons of cargo unloaded for other purposes in the 6th month.

According to the statistics, 76,000 tons of essential products, 32,800 tons of metal products, 10,600 tons of construction and mining materials, and 2,440 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, about 12,400 tons of chemicals, 19,700 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 14,200 tons of container products, and 1,520 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

In general, about 13.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 6th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, about 6.67 million tons were loaded and about 6.5 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
