BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. The volume of cargo unloaded in the Noshahr port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) increased by 4.25 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, a total of 40,700 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, 2,830 tons were loaded and about 37,900 tons were unloaded.

Some 2,830 tons of cargo were exported and 32,000 tons were imported through the Noshahr port in the 6th month.

In addition, 3,210 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as 2,630 tons were unloaded for other purposes.

About 26,200 tons of essential products, 2,070 tons of construction and mining materials, 136 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, 7,240 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials and 5,070 tons of crude oil and related products were loaded and unloaded in the Noshahr port in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.

In general, about 13.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 6th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, about 6.67 million tons were loaded and about 6.5 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
