BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 30 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 613,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 282,000 tons were loaded and about 331,000 tons were unloaded.

At the same time, 383 tons of cargo were exported and 3,000 tons were imported through the Qeshm port in the 6th month.

Over the 6th month, about 274,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 327,000 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.

Furthermore, 7,920 tons of cargo were loaded at the port for other purposes.

Some 58 of essential products, 4 tons of metal products, 7,810 tons of construction and mining materials, 95 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts, about 550,000 tons of small and assorted goods, 446 tons of container products, and 54,700 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port within the 6th month of the current Iranian year.

In general, about 13.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 6th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, about 6.67 million tons were loaded and about 6.5 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
