BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 17. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran), decreased by 38.9 percent in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 162,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port in the 7th month. So, about 127,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 35,000 tons were unloaded.

So, 123,000 tons of cargo were exported and about 8,770 tons were imported through the Bandar Lengeh port over the 7th month.

"Furthermore, about 26,200 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port for transit, as well as 3,200 tons of cargo were loaded for cabotage during the reporting month," the statistics said.

At the same time, 42 tons of cargo were loaded and 100 tons were unloaded in this port for other purposes.

Some 90,800 tons of essential products, about 39,500 tons of construction and mining materials, about 27,000 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts and 1,770 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port in the 7th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 2,530 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 121 tons of small and assorted products, and 66 tons of crude oil and related products were loaded and unloaded in the port within the mentioned month.

In general, about 11.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 7th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.66 million tons were loaded and 5.94 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
