BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 10. The volume of cargo unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) increased by 3.5 percent in the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 23 through November 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
More than 13,500 tons of cargo were unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port within the 8th month.
Of this, about 11,100 tons were unloaded in the port for imports, while 2,410 tons were for transit purposes.
So, 11,100 tons of essential products, and 2,410 tons of crude oil and related products were unloaded at the Fereidoonkenar port in the 8th month.
In general, approximately 12.7 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 8th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.92 million tons were loaded and 5.76 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 3.7 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
Iran's Fereidoonkenar port is located on 69 hectares of land. The port has 2 platforms and 700,000 tons of cargo can be loaded and unloaded in the port per year.
