Iran publishes data on cargo transportation from Mazandaran Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 24. In total, approximately 15 million tons of cargo were transported by trucks from the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) to other provinces of Iran, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through January 20, 2023), Director of Road and Transport Department of Mazandaran Province Rahmatollah Mousavi said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.

According to Mousavi, the main transported goods from the province in 10 months were sand, corn feed, gasoline, diesel, various citrus fruits, cement dairy products, barley, wheat and etc.

The director emphasized that there are currently 124 companies are engaged in cargo transportation in Mazandaran Province.

As reported, a total of 17,700 trucks and 18,000 truck drivers operate on cargo transportation in Iran’s Mazandaran Province.

Within the first 9 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2022), more than 13.1 million tons of cargo were transported by trucks from Mazandaran Province to other provinces of Iran.
