BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 22. Overall, 7.4 million tons of cargo were transported from Iran’s Bushehr Province (southern Iran) to other provinces of the country, during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2023), Director General of Roads and Transport Department of Iran's Bushehr Province, Abdol Karim Akhtarshonas said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
The director general said that the mentioned volume of cargo was transported by 3,305 trucks.
Akhtarshonas added that the transported goods were mainly agricultural products, gas and petrochemical products, diesel and cement.
According to him, the most volume of cargo was transported from the Asaluyeh, Bushehr and Dashtestan counties of the province.
In general, there are 150 companies and 3 terminals operating in cargo transportation in Iran’s Bushehr Province.
