BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 14. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) increased by 22.7 percent in the 11th month of the current Iranian year (January 21 through February 19, 2023), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

Over 138,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 11th month. Of this figure, 38,300 tons were loaded and 99,800 tons were unloaded.

In addition, 33,000 tons of cargo were exported and 97,700 tons were imported through the Anzali port over the reporting month.

Also, 5,280 tons of cargo were loaded and 1,930 tons were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as 141 tons of cargo unloaded for other purposes in the 11th month.

Some 73,700 tons of essential products, 10,600 tons of metal products, 9,950 tons of construction and mining materials, and 1,520 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 11th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 12,500 tons of chemicals, 20,000 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 9,580 tons of container products, and 127 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

In total, approximately 12.8 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 11th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.9 million tons were loaded and 5.88 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 1.37 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
