BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 15. The volume of cargo unloaded at the Noshahr port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by 32 percent in the 11th month of the current Iranian year (January 21 through February 19, 2023), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

In total, over 48,600 tons of cargo were unloaded at this port over the reporting month. Of this, 4,310 tons were loaded and 44,300 tons were unloaded.

Some 4,300 tons of cargo were exported and more than 44,000 tons were imported through the Noshahr port in the 11th month.

In addition, 10 tons of cargo were loaded and 269 tons were unloaded at the port for transit purposes.

Within 11th months, about 40,800 tons of essential products, 1,180 tons of construction and mining materials, 10 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts, 454 tons of chemicals, 3,640 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 20 tons of small and assorted goods and 2,580 tons of crude oil and related products were loaded and unloaded in the Noshahr port.

Overall, approximately 12.8 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 11th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.9 million tons were loaded and 5.88 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 1.37 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
