BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 22. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded at Iran’s Anzali port in the Gilan Province (northern Iran) increased by 5.12 percent, in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the same month in the last year, Trend reports.

Approximately 125,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 2nd month. Of that, about 29,600 tons were loaded and 95,300 tons were unloaded.

At the same time, 24,200 tons of cargo were exported and 94,800 tons were imported through the Anzali port over the reporting month.

Also, 5,380 tons of cargo were loaded and 63 tons were unloaded at the port for transit, as well as 450 tons of cargo unloaded for other purposes in the 2nd month.

Some 67,700 tons of essential products, about 7,300 tons of metal products, 3,700 tons of construction and mining materials, and 2,760 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded at the Anzali port in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 12,100 tons of chemicals, 20,800 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 9,860 tons of container products, and 639 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded at this port within the mentioned month.

In total, 11.7 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 7.01 million tons were loaded and 4.66 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 3.4 percent compared to the same month in the last Iranian year.
