BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 11. The number of international flights (passenger planes only) through Iranian airports decreased by 3.2 percent, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Trend reports.
As indicated in the data of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company (IAC), over 3,300 international flights were carried out from Iran’s airports in 2 months.
Whereas, the figure stood at 3,400 in the same period of the last Iranian year.

There are 54 active civil airports in Iran. Some 14 of them are international airports. An average of 30 million passengers are transported through Iranian airports per year.
