ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 22. Turkmenistan expresses interest in cooperating with companies from South Korea in the field of shipbuilding, Trend reports.
According to the official source, President of the Supreme Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Kim Jin-pyo cast light on this issue during their meeting.
Berdimuhamedov said that Korean companies will have the opportunity to actively participate in projects implemented in various spheres of Turkmenistan. He followed by expressing that Turkmenistan plans to propose holding the second meeting of the speakers of the 'Central Asia-Republic of Korea' parliaments in the pipeline in Ashgabat in 2024, relying on the support of this matter by the Korean side.
Kim Jin-pyo noted that many Korean companies are ready to work together with Turkmenistan in the gas and gas chemical industries.
He also noted that Korean companies are also interested in participating in the construction of industrial facilities within the second phase of the Arkadag city in Turkmenistan.
