ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 8. The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, Atadjan Movlamov, and the Federal Minister for Commerce, Industries, and Production of Pakistan, Gohar Ejaz, held a meeting in Islamabad, during which they considered the possibilities of expanding transport and trade cooperation, Trend reports.
During the meeting, the main attention was paid to the development of trade routes, railway links, gas pipelines, and transit trade.
The parties highlighted the potential for the implementation of mutually beneficial infrastructure projects and expressed their intention to strengthen economic integration between the countries of the region.
In turn, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan invited Pakistani companies to participate in the construction project of the new administrative center of the Ahal region, the smart city of Arkadag.
Furthermore, the participants of the meeting discussed the potential of exporting construction materials and equipment from Pakistan, as well as the country's participation in exhibition events held in Turkmenistan.
Meanwhile, Atadjan Movlamov held a meeting with the caretaker Minister for Energy, Power, and Petroleum of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali, at the end of August, during which they accelerated the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline.
