BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 11. The number of international flights (passenger planes only) through Iranian airports increased by 12.3 percent, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
As was reflected in the statistics of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company (IAC), around 9,000 international flights were carried out from Iran’s airports in 4 months.
In the first 4 month of the last Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2022), the figure was around 8,000.

There are 54 active civil airports in Iran. Some 14 of them are international airports. On average, 30 million passengers are transported through Iranian airports per year.
