International transportation, logistics company intends to open office in Azerbaijan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 21. AsstrA Company intends to open an office in Azerbaijan, Oleg Sysolyatin, head of AsstrA's general and bulk cargo division, told Trend.

Sysolyatin noted that this step will open new prospects for AsstrA's clients, expanding access to quality logistics services in the Caucasus region.

He said entering the Azerbaijani market will allow AsstrA to deepen its roots in the region and provide the best possible customer service.

Moreover, the company intends to enter the top 10 logistics providers in Europe in terms of turnover.

Also, cargo transportation by all types of transport in Azerbaijan amounted to 148.2 million tons from January through August 2023, which is 6.5 percent higher year-on-year. Passenger transportation in Azerbaijan in the reporting period exceeded 1.1 billion people, which is 16 percent higher year-on-year.
