BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 6. Changes have been made to the work plan of the twinning project "Strengthening road safety in Azerbaijan", Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, the fourth meeting of the twinning project management committee "Strengthening Road Safety in Azerbaijan" was held.
The meeting was attended by project managers from the participating states and the beneficiary country, representatives of the European Union Delegation to Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Economy, the resident advisor for the twinning project and other participants.
"The agenda of the meeting included discussion of intermediate 4th quarterly report, changes made to work plan, as well as activities carried out during reporting period, achievements and problems encountered, activities planned for coming period," the ministry said in a statement.
The European Union is funding the initiative, while the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan is the direct beneficiary. The project, with a budget of one million euros, is expected to be completed in two years. The European Union Transport Projects Center in Poland and the Lithuanian Transport Safety Administration are project partners. The project will also include active participation from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Science and Education, Ministry of Health, and other relevant organizations.
