BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 6. Draft amendments to Azerbaijan's road traffic law have been developed to improve legislation in the field of micromobility, said Alish Ismayilov of the country's Ministry of Digital Development and Transport at an international conference themed "Transport planning and traffic flow modeling," Trend reports.

He noted that the draft amendments were submitted for consideration to the Cabinet of Ministers.

“In addition to car lanes, micro-mobility lanes are planned for Baku's downtown roadway. A 19-square-kilometer section of Baku was designated as the pilot zone. Negotiations with relevant operators have taken place in order to expand the use of micromobility,” he added.

The conference themed "Transport Planning and Traffic Flow Modeling" is taking place in Baku on December 6-7.

The event organized by the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency, Azerbaijan Technical University, and "Transproject" consulting company from Uzbekistan is also attended by representatives from transport ministries, urban transport authorities, and scientific and research organizations from Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.
