Turkmenistan receives new Boeing passenger plane

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, January 6. Turkmenistan has received the second of two Boeing 777-300ER passenger aircraft ordered under the government program for civil aviation development until 2030, Trend reports.

The first aircraft of this type under the contract was delivered to Ashgabat International Airport in early December 2023.

This aircraft manufactured by Boeing company is capable of carrying 368 passengers, of which 40 seats are in business class, 32 in premium economy and 296 in economy class.

Equipped with two GE90-115BL2 engines, this aircraft has a flight range of 11,390 kilometers and can perform non-stop international flights with a payload of up to 40 tons.

In the middle of last year, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree authorizing Turkmenistan Airlines to sign contracts for the purchase of four Boeing 737-8 aircraft, as well as trilateral contracts for the purchase of two Boeing 777-367ER aircraft with TMHCC-AIR 1 LLC and TMHCC-AIR 2 LLC.
