BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 22. The private Azerbaijani company "Global Force Technology Inc." plans to set up production of small civil aircraft in Azerbaijan, the company's insider told Trend.
"We have been supplying aviation items, particularly aircraft engines from Europe and China, as intermediaries for many years, and we hold the necessary approvals. We have also been planning a project for the last two years to start manufacturing aircraft engines and small civil aircraft in Azerbaijan itself, taking into account the latest technology," the source said.
According to him, the company is awaiting approvals and certificates from Azerbaijan's relevant state agencies before moving further with this project.
"If licenses are granted, our production will be the first of its kind in the South Caucasus, enhancing the country's reputation as a producer of high-tech aviation items," the source emphasized.
To note, "Global Force Technology Inc." is a unique company in the CIS that has a permit to supply German aircraft engines "RED" with different modifications to the countries of the Commonwealth.
Meanwhile, the company also buys and sells Rotax aircraft engines manufactured in Austria, Adept aircraft engines manufactured in South Africa, and Zongshen aircraft engines manufactured in China.
