ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, April 18. The Mary region of Turkmenistan has received from the state about 200 new modern passenger buses for high-quality transport services, Trend reports.
According to the official source, this happened as part of the solemn ceremony of commissioning the Tejen - Mary section of the Ashgabat - Turkmenabat high-speed highway.
At the same time, a Maternal and Child Health Center was opened in Mary, as well as a residential complex of 59 two-storey buildings.
Meanwhile, the city of Turkmenabat, located in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, received 170 units of 28-seater Toyota Coaster buses from the state in mid-March this year, as well as 20 units of 13-seater Toyota Hiace minibuses manufactured in Japan.
The Tejen - Mary highway is the second section of the large-scale, three-stage construction of the 600-kilometer Ashgabat - Turkmenbashi highway, which began in 2019.
The first section, with a length of about 250 kilometers (Ashgabat - Tejen was commissioned in October 2021 and is currently being successfully used.
