Uzbekistan's agricultural output increases

The total output of agriculture, forestry and fishery valued 46.194 trillion soums in Uzbekistan in January-September 2017, which is 103.5 percent more compared to the same period of 2016, the Uzbek State Statistics Committee said in a quarterly report.

In January-September 2017, 7,380,500 tons of grain crops (99.6 percent more compared to the same period of 2016), 2,357,400 tons of potato (a 103.9 percent growth), 8,695,200 tons of vegetables (a 105.8 percent growth), 1,569,900 tons of melons and gourds (a 106.9 percent growth), 2,146,000 tons of fruits and berries (a 105.3 percent growth), and 1,270,700 tons of grapes (a 104.5 percent growth) were harvested.

The livestock output valued 17,452.4 billion soums in January-September 2017, which is 105.6 percent more compared to the same period of 2016.
