Kazakhstan-Britain bilateral coop discussed in London

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Konstantin Zhigalov has held a number of negotiations with Minister for Europe of Great Britain Caroline Flint, members of the British delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, directors of different departments and Foreign Office, Kazinform has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh Embassy in the UK.

The parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation. K. Zhigalov told about Kazakhstan's preparation for the OSCE chairmanship and highlighted the country's intention to promote the OSCE strengthening in all its three dimensions.

Heads of the British Foreign Office assured the Kazakh delegation in their support during Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the Organization in 2010.

The British side expressed great interest in realization of "Path to Europe" State Program and pointed out necessity of its efficient coordination with the EU Strategy regarding the Central Asia. Dynamic development of the Kazakh-EU cooperation was noted as well.

K. Zhigalov handed out to Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country David Miliband an official invitation from his Kazakh counterpart Marat Tazhin to visit Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan Ambassador to Great Britain K. Abusseitov took part in the meeting.
