Ceremony of laying flowers to the Eternal Flame in front of the Glory Memorial took place in Almaty today, Kazinform reported. The ceremony is devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945.
Thousands of people came today to the Panfilov Park, among them local authorities, namely Mayor of Almaty Akhmetzhan Yessimov and Nur-Otan party members, veteran and youth organizations, as well as participants of the Great Patriotic war with their families.
The people held a silence minute in memory of those killed in the most terrible war of the twentieth century.
