Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev underwent a regular preventive medical checkup, the President's press service reported on Tuesday.
"I underwent an annual checkup in the Central Clinic of the Presidential Affairs Department today, which I recommend all our public servants, especially leading officials. The country's leadership, ministers, mayors should undergo an annual preventive medical checkups," Nazarbayev said.
In addition, Nazarbayev urged officials to conduct such procedures in Kazakhstan, but not abroad.
"There is no need for every occasion to go abroad and spend a lot of money. Major medical centers are built in Astana and equipped with all necessary equipment. I invite you all to undergo checkup and be treated here in Kazakhstan," Nazarbayev said.
As Chief of the Medical Center of the Kazakh Presidential Affairs Department Valery Benberin said, during complex preventive medical checkup the President underwent a clinical checkup of all organs and body systems.
"According to experts, President Nazarbayev is healthy and in excellent physical condition," the presidential press service reported.
