New Deputy Chairman has been appointed to Kazakh National Welfare Fund Samruk Kazyna, the Fund's head Umirzak Shukeyev told journalists on Wednesday, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.
Former Head of the Kazakh Agency on regulation and supervision of financial market and financial organizations Elena Bakhmutova has been appointed to this post.
According to Shukeyev, Bakhmutova will be responsible for financial affairs.
Another Samruk-Kazyna's Deputy Chairman Kuandyk Bishimbayev will remain on his post.
National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna is a joint stock company in Kazakhstan, which owns, in whole or in part, many important companies in the country. The state is the only shareholder of the Fund. Samruk-Kazyna controls assets worth $78 billion, or nearly 56 percent of Kazakh GDP.
