Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 6 / Trend E. Kosolapova/

Arab Spring will not occur in Kazakhstan, U.S. Ambassador to this country Kenneth Fairfax said on the sidelines of the Academy of Public Administration under Kazakh President, Tengrinews.kz reported.

"People who compare these two regions or think that events which took place in Arab countries can occur in Kazakhstan, do not know the situation in Kazakhstan or Libya or do not know anything about both countries," Fairfax said.

According to Fairfax, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev is extremely popular in his country and this fact is totally different from the situation in Libya and Syria, whose former and actual leaders have no popularity among the people of these countries.

The Arab Spring is a revolutionary wave of demonstrations and protests occurring in the Arab world that began in December 2010 resulted in changes in the state power in some countries.
