A passenger train carriage derailed on the Almaty-Astana railway, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with reference to Kazakh Zhambyl region's Emergency Situations Department.
"Wheelset of the first carriage of the Almaty-Astana train No.1 derailed," the report says.
The accident took place on Monday night in Khantau-Kiyahty section. According to the Emergency Situations Department, no one was injured or died as a result of the accident.
"The railroad was not damaged. However, Zhezkazgan-Almaty train delayed by 3 hours. Other trains run by bypass route. Passengers of the train No.1 are in the carriages," the report says.
At present, measures are being taken to eliminate the derailment consequences.
