Kazakh and Belarusian Presidents discuss bilateral relations in informal settings

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral relations in informal settings on May 12-13, BelTA reported.

On the eve of the official part of Kazakh President's visit to Belarus, the presidents met in an informal atmosphere in the Bialowieza Forest.

In particular, the parties within the informal meeting noted that the unique natural potential of Belarus, its reserves and national parks could be a good basis for bilateral cooperation in tourism and recreation spheres.

The official part of Kazakh President's visit to Belarus started on May 13 evening. The program of the official visit envisages the meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

Within the meeting, the parties will discuss state and prospects of Belarusian-Kazakh cooperation in political, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields. Moreover, Nazarbaev and Lukashenko will exchange views on a wide range of issues on the international agenda and discuss the issues of cooperation within the regional integration organizations: the CIS, EurAsEC, Customs Union, Common Economic Space and Collective Security Treaty Organization.
