"Authority and potential of the Council enables to issue an appeal, including in terms of possible conflicts," Nazarbayev said, addressing the opening of the Fourth congress of world and traditional religions in Astana on Wednesday.

He said the Council of Religious Leaders it is a new permanent body. The idea of its establishment was proposed by President Nazarbayev three years ago at the previous congress of world religions.
