European Union intends to enhance cooperation on security with Central Asian countries, Kazinform quoted EU Special Representative for Central Asia Patricia Flor as saying.

"We are aimed to create a high level dialogue on security between the EU and Central Asian countries. This purpose results from the situation in Afghanistan and withdrawal of troops from this country," Flor said.

Moreover, the EU attaches great importance to the energy cooperation with Central Asia, including Trans-Caspian pipelines construction. The EU is also ready to propose special projects in the field of energy efficiency, renewable energy and energy conservation, Flor said.

The EU is also ready to help to transform the Central Asian countries' structure, EU Special Representative for Central Asia said.

"The EU is ready to share its experience in law, regional cooperation and active and open civil society building and launch joint projects and programs in these spheres with Central Asia countries," Flor said.

Flor said that all these issues will be discussed at a ministerial meeting between the Central Asian countries and the European Union in autumn.
